Canadian Immigration have announced today that the Young Professional category in Canada’s IEC Programme will re-open for Irish citizens.
The Young Professional category is part of the International Experience Canada (IEC). It's aimed for post-secondary graduates who want to gain some extra work experience in Canada.
Visafirst.com contend that the quota for 2015 will generate the same if not more interest as the 2014 quota for Canadian working holiday visas and they are advising that 2015 applicants prepare all relevant documentation now so as not get two wrapped up in the stress of it all when the time comes.
Declan Clune of VisaFirst.com advised, "The 2014 Canadian working holiday quota for Irish applicants was issued in two stages, the first quota was filled within 15 minutes and the second quota was filled within a half hour!"
VisaFirst.com say that although the young professional programme is now open to Irish candidates they still haven't been given a date by Canadian immigration for the opening of the much anticipated Canada's IEC (International Experience Class) Working Holiday Visa programme for people without a job offer. The overall programme was opened internationally last week (24th Feb) but Irish candidates have still not been told when they can submit their applications.
The visa experts are advising those interested in the IEC to be vigilant and be ready for the 10,000 places that will be made available for Irish workers in 2015.
